Transfers to a Scale Payment Delivery Office

Anyone know if vacancies/transfers to Scale Payment Delivery Offices are handled by the office itself or the nearest main delivery office?

Never heard of a "Scale Payment Delivery Office" what's the difference between one of them and a normal DO?

As an example:
The HU11 postcode area has DOs at Malmo Road and Beverley but SPDOs at Aldbrough, Seaton, Skirlaugh and Sproatley.
Do these offices have their own staff or are they supplied from the nearest DO? Do they have their own DOMs are is it just a line manager?

I work in an Spdo. Just a building at the back of the local P.O. No managers, just half a dozen posties. We’re parented by our nearest D.O. The Dom there visits us once in a blue moon. He recruits for any vacancies specifically for our office. We don’t get transfers in from the parent D.O. If we’re short due to illness etc he tries to send us a part timer that wants some extra hours otherwise we just swap about about and split the uncovered round amongst ourselves. We feel life’s a lot easier in an spdo.
