Do we get Good Friday and Easter Monday off as bank holidays?

Once upon a time Good Friday was classed as a work day by RM. We could choose to get either 2.5 times pay or 1.5 times pay & a day in lieu as well!! Those days are gone now and even overtime pay has fallen over time from 1.5 times pay to about 5% LESS than standard pay. Sadly it isn't just RM that no longer pays overtime at an overtime rate .

The answer is much simpler. They are bank holidays, we don't work bank holidays.

It depends on if you work in Scotland or not. Scotland do not get Good Friday off

The bonus used to be that the Saturday was dead since England was off on the Friday. Now that just means more lapsing.

On night shifts (any type of office) it'll vary how each office deals with the Good Friday. We do the Thursday into Good Friday morning as duty then have the Good Friday night into the Saturday morning off.
