Need a signature!

I have noticed this week items coming through as no signature required but when scanned it says it needs a signature.Any one else on here?.

Had a couple today the other way round.

Tracked signature but when scanned it didn't require a signature

Had one today, already posted it before realising, surely making a diffent noise on the pda for a signed for would make sense.

Yeah I had one, a Tracked Signature (according to label) box from John Lewis but PDA indicated it didn't need a sig.

Happened to me before, fact is i was rushing and didn't wait for the PDA screen to load. Don't need a different sound, just need to look at the screen first.

Royal Mail has made a considerable investment in technology to make our job easier.... that's great when the technology works. They'll have to get the Spotty IT Geeks to sort it out.

Its great that we now also have Tracked items that require a signature. Can we also have recorded items that don't require a signature as well?

I've had loads of the Chinese packets this week that say no signature but when scanned require one

Had several for the same house from the same company using the same bar code , whether they're duplicated item by mistake at the picking warehouse not sure as they were different sized boxes

I have quite a lot of those for one customer from John Lewis.

It's a attempt to avoid paying the postage. Let your DOM know the details on the postage labels.

Or one order that doesn't quite fit in the packaging or box the sender has selected ??? I've been told by a manager to scan each one and allocate it separately. This gives an element of clarity if either the recipient, sender or Royal Mail need to challenge the order ???

Nah won't be that. It's either a computer error or done on purpose. Another way to clear it up is to get the DOM to scan the additional copies on separate PDAs. They will be charged the correct amount then .
