DOM says come in early job and knock, runners all on easy walks to take out O/T with their walks don't take breaks, bullies people doing the job properly.

UNTIL THE WHOLE SHIP SINKS . That's a view that may just come true. We will reach a point ,and it's not too far off, where it costs more money than we make to process and deliver all the packets we are getting, whilst still maintaining the USO for the dwindling (their view not mine) amounts of letters we receive, as well as paying for a stack of mangers (polite word for them) who clearly haven't got a clue what they're doing. November is gonna be fun. Not much good will in most offices now.

We had WTL this week, It was about not going in early.
The WTL took place at 6.45am on Tuesday, The postman are not supose to start on a Tuesday untill 7.25am.
You just cant make things like this up.

I don't believe what time Posties start is a real problem...... Provided there's enough work for them to do, and they're not stood about chatting & drinking tea, whilst expecting to be paid for it. We've trialled shorts & longs and also Later Start Times. TBH most of the DO are still using their common sense, and coming in at "An Appropriate Time", if I've got Households to prep I know I can go in 15-30 mins "Early" because I've got RM work to do. On Tuesday I may go in 15-30 minutes "Later" because I know there's not such mail.

The DOM (to his credit) has so far paid OT that was genuinely worked .... regardless of the correct start time.... he's been with us a while now and is getting to know which duties have more outdoor work than others. He recently used the PDA actuals to good effect. One of the "Runners" was complaining that he had too much outdoor work to prep & deliver, he wanted to be taken off 30 mins IPS. The DOM checked it and simply said, "Doesn't look like you're struggling to complete on time... you're back an hour early each day... can't see your problem" The "Runner" in question came back with, "Yes but that's because I work more efficiently ..... a lot of these guys are just taking their time, and dragging it out" I had to laugh.

should come to my office then you say why do you take come in early for and the response is a finger salute , 6 people out off 38 take there 40 min break and am one off them so 5 . honest the whole place is a joke no one is arsed no more
