Oldest colleagues

Reading about pensions on another thread got me thinking, how old is your oldest delivery colleague?

We've got a guy in his early 70's still going, absolutely crazy! One guy in his late 60's and he still runs marathons aswell as working at our place! I'm in my 20's and couldn't get near these guys to my shame.

Define need? There's retired teachers, coppers and fireman at our place that need to work coz they retired in their early 50's and would be bored rigid if they didn't! Know what you mean though.

Greedy old people, find something else to do in your time of life. You should not be allowed to work over your pensionable age, no excuse to be poor as compared to young peple who really do need the work.

I think that if someone is over the retired age and is in a comfortable financial position, then really they ought to go and do volunteering instead and free up a vacancy for a young person who needs the job.

There is no retirement age,just a state pension age. Anyhow , with RM turnover of staff there plenty of opportunities to get a job with the exception of certain areas where there is high unemployment.

Please define "comfortable financial position" and "retired age".

I don't think many of us do this job for any other reason than for money, regardless of our age!
