Management Bonus

Just how massive is this bonus that it justifies underpaying your staff?
Is it paid weekly? Do us OPGs get anything similar?

£4-£6k a year paid once a year

It would have to be one helll of a performance to get anywhere near that amount. Halve it and you’re being more realistic.

It was £800 pa 20 years ago so maybe realistic.

Number One isn't that far out at £4K. Depends on the grading given by a higher authority manager to first line manager. Low absence rate, accident rate, O/T etc comes into consideration of amount of bonus paid.

I love how these subjects can "Earn" a Manager more Bonus.

Why the fact that I look after my own health, and don't fall over when I'm running and break my wrist, should earn the Manager MORE Bonus is ironic, to say the least.

No wonder then that you get bullied when off sick,accidents,dog bites etc get brushed under the carpet and overtime is not paid or underpaid! All some greedy managers think about is lining their own pockets!!

Linos get 10% off salary bonus which is an average of £2,900. Doms get 10% of salary bonus which is an average of £3,400. Above them it's a 18% of salary of bonus for shift managers in mail centres. WHY DO YOU THINK IT'S ALL CASUALS IN MAIL CENTRES NOW. Doms who are in charge of big offices with over 60 posture and more than 3or 4 linos get the 18% bonus. Remember that the next time he's shouting about lapsing. f**k all with standards of quality and service. All about the bonus.

Posties are not employed to subsidise bonuses earned by managers. The current system is bordering fraudulent practises imo. There are only a few employers that would allow a manager free reign to manipulate a system for financial gain. Its no surprise that RM is one of those very companies

They will get the bonus as it's based on last year's figures. It doesn't have much to do with the share price but on RMs operating profit and individual office figures on lapsing, sickness, docket and as much bullying and cutting back as possible. How much more can you take ffs.

I don't doubt that the DOMs of the world paint a fantastic view of the hard graft and dedication that their superhero management team are putting in the office. For example, when it takes us a long time to sort letters on IPS we are "slow" whereas a manager would be "thorough" or when you don't take your lapse, you are "lazy" whereas a manager would obviously be "too busy".
