A manager that brings the full office morale down

Our office runs great when our managers day off is.
And the temporary managers covering do great job and the office runs perfect .

Ours is the opposite. It's the line manager that is a complete tyrant and our DOM has had to reign him in and overrule him on many occasions. It's almost as if this little tyrant tries to goad staff and wind them up. Sad little man.

Managers are under pressure to make cuts we can help them by doing the job well and finishing on our time let the area managers see the PDA data gives them no room to make cuts. Poor management is a big problem in any work place in a company that relies on O/T good management is crucial.

Just had one like that. No longer the DOM now though. The new one is much better to deal with but the same issues of overrunning deliveries, unfaair distribution of hours, tinkering with start/finish times on a daily basis still apply. They respond in different ways to the same pressures to reduce costs from above, that's where the real problem is. We deserve to be dealt with as human beings at all times, not like slaves.

Ours used to,they even used to argue with each other which in a way was comical but totally unprofessional,the way they used to speak to the posties(unless of course you were one of their favourites) was unbelieveable. You were made to feel useless and lazy,no wonder morale was so low. Most of it was to screw the posties down so much so they could earn as much bonus for their greedy selves!
I can remember when I started with RM many years ago the managers treated you with respect,and in turn they were respected and in turn morale was high,the job still got done and work was a pleasure.Not any more,I think to qualify to be a RM manager you have to be a bully,liar have no conscience whatsoever,lazy and dont have the words please,thankyou,hope you are ok and soon feel better( when you are off sick) in their vocabulary.
You may call me cynical,but after being a postie for many years all I tend to remember is the last few years when to be honest I was treated like s**t!
