Does anyone know the agreement for lapsing . We are still doing it and i know some offices have stopped . I thought it was just for the summer months

Don't think there is an "agreement". If you have time to lapse, lapse. If you don't have time, don't. Easy peasey.

The only time our office don’t do it is Xmas. And like most other office where at breaking point now.

at ours, it depends on how many call in sick or on holiday, then they say mail's down on forecast to suit them and denying us the figures, and not including the mail stood down from the day before,
then anyone who then predicts overtime gets a big thank you, anyone who says no and need to finish to time are then under performing and told to fetch back standard packets to ensure lapsing mail goes and then get a grilling later

i've lost the will to argue, households are irrelevant to their prep plan,i regularly take 1 or 2 weeks old out if they allow and apparently our area rep is trying to block a guy who said he'd consider the poisoned chalice of office rep which we don't have!
basically the job is

It would depend on your model week, your traffic, your p/t to f/t ratio and your agreed delivery span.
Given that all these vary from office to office - there is not one "agreement".

Once I lose 12 mins a day it means some days my time will run out .Been a busy week this one

theres an agreement for summer which ends the 4th September BUT when people start early for no pay , don't take breaks , don't use lwt etc , they will just keep throwing extra work at you to do and continue , what is your rep doing ? give this company nothing for free and do the job right no time for extra then .

Summer absorption ended once September began.
