Make sure your back pay is correct,im no carol vorderman lol,but this is my breakdown.
Your current basic pay x 5 % = ? then x 30 weeks = your gross full amount, then you have overtime on top,so for full timers your looking at minimum £615,then our good old tax to come off

I have worked out that about 37% of it will be taken off in deductions, 20% tax, 12% national insurance and 5% pension, is that right?

Martin lewis as a wage reckoner on his site ,put in the amount your expecting ,click the 52 week option ,gives you your wage less N I and tax - make sure its set to the 2017-18 tax year wont take your pension into consideration though .

Sounds about right but that is usually what happens to your wages isn't it. I have worked most of my days off and other overtime in the back pay period but I'm not going to get the calculator out. I will just trust them unless it looks way out.

An even easier way of working it out is to find 5% of your net pay

Does it include 5 % of any substitutions you would get as well? WPC in the office checked his payslip on the computer this afternoon and said it was well out from what they expected. I’m preparing for the worst already who do we contact if this is the case?
