Van defects

Anyone else have the same problems in van defects?they seem to take forever to get fixed,arevworkshops over run with work,a defect is a defect,but most cases you don’t have a spare to use so you put up with it,we have the I’ll fated fiat vans withvstop start faults and engine management light still on,gutless performance,my Peugeot with sensors bleeping at you all the time,just wonder how other offices deal with vans and workshop service

Since the garages were opened up to non-RM business (MOT's for employees etc) there has been a deterioration in turn aaround time. Vans disappear for ever and managers consequently are slow to send other vans when they have faults as they will be well short of vehicles.

The flat tyre situation is a crisis, you phone the dedicated RAC line and are lucky to get service within four hours. Not funny when you have a van that can't move and you are on a shared duty. We are not supposed to be changing tyres ourselves, why?

If a van is not road worthy don’t drive it.
It’s for the business to fix, and you’ll be the one getting in trouble for driving an unroad worthy van.

Royal Mail has the worst fleet of all the couriers , shameful they think more of shareholders than us posties driving around in sheds.

Yes they are in a shameful state,your right if it’s faulty simply don’t drive it,yes make sure you do the daily checks but for Christ sake don’t find anything wrong with it or we’re stuffed!,I remember the 3 year replacement when had escorts and Vauxhall’s,they do take a pounding,but would be nice for managers to have some idea where we actually go,as to think we drive up a high street and back,no real room in our yard to do proper checks,and we have no wash down facilities at local garage as that’s been done away with,I for one hate driving in a pigsty

I’m suprised some of the vauxhall vans are still going at our place, they are knackered on the inside and outside but the engine keeps plodding on. Bit like us i suppose
