Why are some of you having 'gate' meeting regarding the agreement, you're not have meetings about strikes ect so why are you not having the meetings inside, especially in this weather?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

If you have it indoors half of them sneak back to their frames after 30 seconds.you're not have meetings about strikes ect so why are you not having the meetings inside, especially in this weather?

Our managers just won't allow the Union to hold any meetings with staff in our office regardless of it not being about strikes. We have to stand outside in the car park. However we are forced to listen to RM managers in their WTL and daily huddle sessions.
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

Gate meetings IMO should be ued sparingly, otherwise if you have a string of them frequently they lose their effect. the guys either don'tcome out or grumble like hell, they become a chore. The use of them for bending people's ear about the pay deal is a typical case of patiencce wearing thin for the staff, especially if they are gate meeting weary.
