More than 50 colleagues gathered from across the business to learn about employee survey action planning, new initiatives in our operations and our engagement plans for the coming months, as we held our latest People Panel event.
Colleagues shared their views on our employee benefits programme My Bundle; heard about upcoming changes to uniform and shared their suggestions; and heard about a successful People Boards trial in Aireborough. A big part of the session was about our values and how we can embed them even deeper into the DNA of the organisation.
Colleagues at the event, held at Future Walks, near Chesterfield delivery office, also shared their views on why completing the upcoming employee survey is important to them. Look out for more on this in Courier and RMtv.
Gemma Webb, head of culture change and values, said: ‘Our People Panel is important in helping us get direct feedback and ideas from colleagues on a wide range of activities. Their insight and suggestions help us ensure we are not only designing the best solution we can, for everyone, but gives us real clarity on whether we are tackling the things that matter most to our colleagues.
‘There was a fantastic energy in Chesterfield. The feedback and discussions we had throughout the day were from across the spectrum of roles and really valuable. We learned a lot from the panel members, and hopefully they learned about progress we’re making too. It was encouraging to hear just how important colleagues see our upcoming employee survey – a time for everyone to have a say and share their views to help make Royal Mail an even better place to work.’
If you’d like to get involved in the People Panel, we’re always looking for colleagues who are keen to join. Contact the team at: culture.engagement.team@royalmail.com.
