https://www.myroyalmail.com/news/2018/0 ... urvey-2018" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The survey is your opportunity to give your views on what it is like to work for Royal Mail Group. Last year, 83% of employees took part.
The employee survey is run by independent research company Ipsos MORI, and all responses are completely confidential.
The results give us important insight into how you feel about working here and what areas we should focus on improving, both at a local and national level.
What’s changed?
Acting on what you have told us is the most important part of the survey process. Many teams across the business put in place action plans on the back of the 2017 survey and have made tangible improvements to help make Royal Mail a great place to work.
Read how Salford (https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... =1&t=83539" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) delivery office and Saltash (https://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communi ... =1&t=83844" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; delivery office have made positive changes over the last year.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Took the words out of my mouth.
The views I express here are mine alone and do not represent the views of Royal Mail Group.

we haven't had the results from last year yet.
This year may turn into a protest due to shenanigans of the company.

He can't force you. It is not compulsory to complete it. I just say I'm not interested, not doing it and go back to my frame.lightningpostman wrote:thats becuase we were forced by our dom to fill it in infront of him in his office 2 at a timePOSTMAN wrote:https://www.myroyalmail.com/news/2018/0 ... urvey-2018

It's supposed to be 'confidential' of course. Managers want you to at least fill it in and seal it up and give it them back as I believe bonuses depend on it (as one of the scores they are measured upon). Others will want to see you filling it in and be stood around making sure like a school exam. The confidential aspect is a joke. You could 'spoil it', seal it up and return it as a compromise in those circumstances.

Last year our unit apparently returned 98% of forms, yet I can identify 30% of the unit who never completed the form! Time the form was sent to individuals addresses, and not handled by Management. Absolute joke, open to manipulation in the name of a bonus?

What would be really useful would be if the union did an identical survey and published all the results not just a select bit of it.
I filled it in the first few years I was there.Haven't seen or heard any results in at least 5 years so haven't wasted my time filling it in for quite a few years now.Would happily fill one in for the union to get proper results mind.

Don't fill them in.
These idiots think that everything is hunky dory in offices because the staff have in many cases been forced to fill them out.
This was borne out in the mediators report which says this:
The discussions on this issue revealed a considerable difference of opinion concerning the state of employee relations and morale at delivery offices. The Union’s view was that morale was low, OPGs recruited on part time contracts were being required to work significant additional hours whether they wished to or not, a bullying culture developed as managers struggle to meet performance targets and passed this pressure on to employees and that managers were increasingly making deliveries themselves. The Employer did not accept that these were wide spread issues and pointed out that this was not the situation revealed by the results of the latest Employee Opinion Survey undertaken by IPSOS/MORI in February / March 2017.
So whilst people keep filling them in these turds keep up the belief that all is well in Royal Fail land.

Is it true that managers got a little 'bonus' for having a high percentage of the office fill them in last year? If true, that is incentive enough to refuse.
