I have received a reply to a stage 2 grievance today regarding the office being chronically under resourced. The reply in question stated that I can NOT raise a grievance about resourcing, as it is a matter between CWU and RM Management. I fully intend to push this grievance to stage 3 as surely this is discrimination against non-CWU members?
Has anyone had any experience with management trying to pull this one?

If the unit is under resourced it is a matter between RM and the CWU rep's but for arguments sake it means you cannot get prep done because of been taken off for ips or you come in and the job is not ready then this is a matter that you could raise as a grievance especially if pressure was put on you because of the lack of resource then it would put the ball in their own goal!

Resource Grievances
An individual grievance relates to the circumstances affecting an individual, although ultimately this could be caused by office resourcing the grievance should be framed around the specifics of the particular situation and how it affects you. i.e individual workload and your ability to achieve that.
General office resourcing issues should be dealt with by the union rep using the IR framework.

sounds like its not your problem to be dealing with, however if you feel youre being bullied to do extra to make up for staff shortage that would be worth raising as a grievance.
