Re delivery of specials
There is no service requirement to do so, the customer cannot make a claim if its delivered after 1pm and its a redelivery.
However, the DOM does get a report flagging up that a special was delivered after 1 PM, apparently, they can't differentiate redelivery and first-time attempts. Therefore the manager needs to investigate it and explain why. So even though the explanation would be acceptable, the investigation and reporting is probably a PITA so some managers insist on a before the 1pm deadline even for redeliveries.

Re delivery of specials
There was a WTLL on this specific issue not long ago. The official position is that it doesn't have to be done before 1 (or 9). Ask your manager why you didn't have it.al64 wrote:What is the official line on this though, Need to know for next time.

Re delivery of specials
No it does not as the next day guarantee is no longer active. This is also the case for non Saturday guarantee (SG) specials.

Re-delivery is an extremely ineffective and wasteful use of company resources

Re delivery of specials
I agree with this. They should do one free re-delivery then after that they either pick it up or pay for future re-deliverys.redneck wrote:Re-delivery is an extremely ineffective and wasteful use of company resources

They generally don't redeliver. It all goes over the fence 1st time

Re delivery of specials
It wasn’t a special but I delivered a parcel last week at the fifth attempt.
I didn’t flag it up to anyone because I just wanted to see how many times it would take to get rid of it.
