Has your office been delivering parcels on a Sunday??

Our office hasn't because the DOM is keeping an eye on the purse strings. We had several full cages of packets still left there since Saturday and so extra staff were employed to come in early on Monday to take out all the parcels that didn't get delivered. However, Ive noticed that another delivery office have been doing Sunday parcel deliveries for the last 2 weeks...

I agree they are sad, but I just wondered if its classed as delivery failure if they don't go - these are tracked items and all sorts. So much for delivering 1st time, every time!!

If I remember correctly its reported as a delivery failure, however as Christmas is exempt from QofS targets (due to volumes) then Royal Mail don't need to report it to the regulator.

Our office has had no extra vans and they refuse to have us delivering on a Sunday , needless to say the office is in chaos duties failing , parcels stacked high and guys refusing to do overtime. Well done Royal mail you thought you would do Xmas on the cheap and in our office and others local to us is already failing miserably

and it hasnt even gotten to peak volumes yet, these next 2 weeks will be heavy, and many offices havent sent deliveries out the past 2 days because of the snow, what a mess !

We've not been delivering, but I believe they have been sending out drivers to empty the local Post Offices. The lack of forward planning is astonishing. But then we've only been doing this for the last 500 years!

Tuesday was ridiculously light, you'd have thought they would have pulled forward some yorks of magazines & catalogues.
