Can anyone clarify post as my rep is saying they are unsure when talks officially end ?

The talks will only end if it becomes apparent there is no common ground between the two parties. There is only an official end date if one or both of the sides is not taking the mediation process seriously. In that case it would be early January.

It's only a personal view,however I think the momentum has gone now. I am surprised that the union didn't anticipate some form of legal action, before declaring a strike was on.

Looks like we have been screwed over YET AGAIN by rm, if we're going to have industrial action, it has to to be in December, not January.

Being spare & talking daily to different posties, I can't see it happening, unless you have done stupid amount of years it doesn't really effect us, the new pension scheme on offer has got to be better than what we have now?

If you have only joined in recent years you will not be eligible for the Royal Mail version of a new defined benefits scheme. You will get a miserly 1% added to your defined contribution scheme. ie about another £220 a year.
