Our 2016-17 Corporate Responsibility (CR) Report is now available.
We aim to be independently rated as one of the most responsible companies. For the third consecutive year, we have been named a global leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices. We were previously ranked number one globally for two years in a row.
We were again included in the FTSE4Good Global Index in 2016. We were ranked in the top 15% of companies included, on account of our environmental, social and governance performance.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Trouble with this information is it does not differenciate between roles within RM. It would be more informative if it showed the split for delivery workers.

I think the 75/25 split was a BT 2010 thing.
After that the overarching objective became a predominantly full time workforce.

The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

7% leavers suggests us working for Royal Mail for fourteen years each, no longer anything like a job for life.

50/50 in my DO. Not enough full timers to do all the necessary IPS and throwing walks out so part timers regularly come in early on O/T to take up the slack. the trouble is that the obvious need for more full timers still hasn't resulted in anybody having their contracts increased and the added benefits of receiving full money when on holiday/pro rata payments etc.

Would they class someone who works 30 hours a week as full-time, or part-time because of their pro-rata payments on D2Ds?
On the face of it, shareholder value is the dumbest idea in the world.

The real problem is the regional difference between the full and part-time mix, in the North we are no longer a predominantly full-time workforce, having an overarching objective that does not differentiate between regions never mind offices does not in any way offer any protection to members at a national level. It's a pointless agreement which will bite the union on the arse when it needs a national ballot.clashcityrocker wrote:I think the 75/25 split was a BT 2010 thing.

Protecting the full-time ratio of another area will not encourage members to agree to a strike ballot in areas where we've already passed the tipping point, the union were warned that this divisive position would create this situation and buried their heads in the sand. Talk about an own goal......
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

I'm sure someone will soon be telling us how may p/t staff are being made up in his area, about how important it is to make RM stick to the agreements, that some areas are just prepared to roll over while others stick together blah blah blah .........fishtank wrote:
