Union its time.... After all i have read regarding royal mails proposals i say strike now. Why are we waiting around waiting to be s**t on been witj royal mail now 7 years its the same old story theyve decided what thwy want and if they get anyrhing like this ill be packing my bags . love the job worked full time since being here but sick of hearing the constant crap of what royal mail intentions are. Its doubled in the last 7 years and there telling us letters are in decline. Bollocks. Maybe business mail eeryday is now a steuggle to get around and at my office we are consta tly taking mail and loops back. Lets stop messing around unite together under the cwu and go for strike actions and show. These w*****s we are the union. Before its to late

Don't worry mate the strikes are coming we will hit them when it hurts most, Xmas!!

Mail has declined it's just there is less hours in the office so each staff member is delivering more than ever.

Trouble with striking at x mas is the posties will have double or maybe treble work to deliver when strike is over

Talking to most people in our office, which has 60 plus staff, hardly anyone will vote for strike action if it comes to it.

Even if they don't want to strike, or have no intention of doing so, if they vote that way then they are weakening the Unions position.

When the CWU have a ballot the question on the paper isn't the real question.

The real question, which I hope everyone remembers is "please vote yes to give us the best bargaining position".

Decide on the strike days what you are going to do, but don't make Royal Mails position stronger by voting no.

This is exactly the right strategy to deploy. With the apparent threat of strike action by a strong ballot vote, even if RM know some members voted this way, The union has greater leverage to negotiate for a better deal.

Not quite - a 50 percent turnout of those entitled to vote (Union members) is required and a 'simple majority' ie more than half of those entitled to vote must vote for strike action, so if we were to pinpoint the exact number of Union members votes which would be required to potentially authorise strike action it would be 25% plus of union members.

Id rather not haveca pay rise if it comes at the expense of a decent pension and all the other crap they want. Theyve said any rise has to be self funding so anything we get is gona cost us something else
