No I can't understand why you wouldn't!
I had one last year and my Lino didn't want to to report it properly. I had to INSIST they did, which was eventually done with reluctance. They moaned about the paperwork and that they'd have to go out and see the customer

! I still have a scar on my leg over 12 months later! Fortunately the Lino and the dog have both gone

Believe it or not, all accidents affects the bonus that the management receive.

Thanks for replies ,as with most things that should be done,you couldn't write this stuff? Maybe they will only proceed with it if it's during dog awareness week??

He even came into work the next day after visit to the local surgery for it to be dressed and cleaned up,I just don't get it?? What with all we are told at wtll, I guess it means the boss has to do something and investigate it and back us just like he should?mmmm

yes he should be held responsible, did you log the incident in the accident report book?

as a injury should always leave a paper trail

I doubt it got put the accident book, god forbid it would affect the safety pyramid and put us getting yet another worthless certificate in jeperdy?!!!

All the paperwork can be time consuming and too much trouble for just a small bite.

Probably cause the manager doesn't want to sit and go through the paperwork, carry out an investigation, write to the dog owner and visit the dog owner. Manager prefer to "put it in diary" and make a note of it in the WRAP system. As stated before it affects their bonus!!

I've been bit twice, menaced twice and every one has been reported and logged. Every incident (including falls and trips) must be reported as further down the line you may have to go sick as a result. Keep yourself right.
