i have just been informed by my brother he has just had the postie deliver to his house today good Friday??? wtf.. is it a local agreement? he lives in Berwick. anyone on here from up that way? what rates are you's being paid?.

they must come under jock borders as far as the post is concerned then, but he says their letters are always stamped 'Gateshead or Newcastle area. and the rep says Berwick is part of Newcastle amal.

sorted. he says he's just spoke to a Berwick postie. they swapped today for the 2nd of January...(or the 3rd, as it is next new year)

Scotland gets Jan 2 as a holiday, I don't know if that's the case for the rest of the UK, and the reason we don't get Good Friday.

Unfortunately for us Scots we are about to enter a council election, so we were bombarded by the ballot paper guff. The councils are off from Friday until Tuesday so they decided to make our lives' miserable. Pr***ks.

There are local elections in May all over the place
