Saturday collection of mail

You may have seen this thread from me before,but somehow it's starting to annoy me now in the current climate of things,some 4 years ago following 2 guys taking evr we all took on extra on our rounds,needless to say the 12 noon dispatch from our office remained the same,about 5 rural deliveries me included now get back with Mail collected after the lorry has left at 12,so much for customer service? Boss is aware but seems powerless to fix,I'm not that bothered to be fair,but then why scan and clear the boxes,yet another con,it's not my worry really but just feel as as a service we've lost our way somewhat,it's certainly not up to me to sort out,and you think why should I care,maybe needs a customer to take up the challenge and enquirer why Mail they post on Friday after 4pm maybe gets delivered till Tuesday???

You could bring collection mail back to meet Lorry

Or maybe the planners who sorted out the new duties could have realised that the lorry needs to arrive later to coincide with the new duties finishing later,just a poor service in the bigger picture of things,they can't organise this,one of a number of issues a put on my have your say for several years,nothing done ,so not my problem,no doubt a manager in charge of this,probably unaware it goes on

I think if the manager is aware oif this happening then he should report it as a failure on the dodr. If he fails to report it and is aware that it is happening I think he would lose his job if the senior managers find out.

The lorry taking the collections mail to the MC can't leave any later, otherwise the mail would still fail, final dispatches in an MC on Saturdays iirc are about 17:00

He is aware and has reported it for the past 4/5 years but obviously far more complex than we think ? He told me to tell my customers to get off there arse and go into town to catch the 12 dispatch or use TNT!! Nice one?? Just seems a bit of a con that's all but hey ho ,another topic and another carpet to be swept under no doubt,as long as the boxes are cleared,the fact that the Mail collected goes nowhere??
