Css opertors

There are 3 css duties up for grabs in our office and I am thinking of applying but don't know a great deal and wonder if any css operators could give me some info on what the job is like and entails?! we have to apply via an application and interview and is not going on seniority.

They are putting 3 machines into DO as we speak.

Average batch size will be around the 6k mark but you might get the odd batch that's 7k or 8k Somewhere around 24-28 (occasionally 32) boxes per batch for a wave 1, 8-10 max normally for a wave 2. 40mins per batch for wave 1, 20mins per batch for wave 2. You won't be able to hang around at all on wave 2 as around half of the batches will be time sensitive

The Standard Operating Procedure states no more than 20 trays a batch.

Piece of cake the operaters at our office are all brown noses with 2 of them ring fenced - it stinks.

We often do more then 20 trays per batch on a wave 1, on busy days 28 trays is probably average

When the batches are just 2-3 trays a piece it's possible to get 7-8 of them done in 1 and a half hours

Easier yes. Quicker no. Not sure what's it's like at other offices but at ours it's still job and finish for css
