Dogs. Rural

What is the rules for dogs in rural locations?
Closed gate but a history of dogs. And potential dog attacks.
As far as im aware i dont need to go in because the dogs could be out as the gate is closed. So its perfectly acceptable to toot my horn. Wait and then p739 an item?

How can you 739 an item if there's a dog loose just endorse the item dog loose date it and return it to office for redelivery next day don't put yourself at risk

Think Dog in rural location could be more dangerous as they will be guarding the farm. Don't risk your self

As is the case with a lot of houses on a rural delivery, there could be a letterbox at the gate but the pkt doesn't fit.

I always found farm dogs were used to people and visitors and never really took any notice of me aside from a cursory look and the odd half-hearted bark. The worst were the private houses with big grounds where there was far too big a walk to the door to be comfortable if one of the b*stards was outside and out of view, so you'd get more nervous the further from the gate you were....

On my rural there were many dogs, as you would expect. I'm not afraid of most dogs, and would happily pet a friendly one.

My gripe was the ones that jumped up, and / or slobbered over me. Then of course the smell of that dog was on me, so the next dog was ever so interested, and so it happened all over again. And again.

Luckily by the time it came to eat my sandwiches I was parked by a spring, so could wash my hands.

What didn't help was the reserve used to give the dogs a biscuit. This will not be news to most rural drivers.

Post box on the gate.
Waited long enough. And then went. Dog couldnt be seen. But last time it was out and there are a few of them.

Otherwise not unknown for a wannabe to throw delay charge at someone for it!
