Forced to deliver excess d2d

As we always have excess door2door in our office, our new manager has now decided to make us put the excess through the same doors of the customers we already delivered to last week?

This can't be allowed surely, especially as we have already delivered the allocated quota to the whole duty, and the line manager signed off each day as completed.

Any advice where we stand if we refuse.

Oddly enough,the few i have left over each week,normally about 5-10 of each I do redeliver the next week to random houses!

Refuse like we did in our office,Get your union rep on the issue.
I told my manager if he dared to try and make me take surplus door 2 door i would be taking it as high as i could,He walked away,We all did the same and that was that.
Why should you do the work of the people who are not delivering these items?

No, he can't make you. He is in breach of his contract and it is fraud. We had this same issue at ours a few years ago. The s**t hit the fan when we took it above his head, infact he disappeared from our office for over 12 months.

I and my colleagues get Door To Doors to within about 1% of the number of delivery points so I don't understand how you "always have excess door2door".

Your lino is wrong. You should just record how many surplus D2Ds that you have each week and return them back to your manager. Surely even they can work out the number of D2Ds that you have been allocated every week to the number of calls that you have on your frame?

To this extent like lizard says it should only really be about 1% of the delivery points, unless there are other reasons why they have not been delivered?

I've plenty of no access delivery points on my walk

If you have quite a few 'No access' points I'm thinking that rather than sort out with the occupants of
those no access points why they are no access by going out on the ground to see why and speak
to those occupants, managers are, let's say, 'conserving their energy' at this busy time.

However, if the D2D paperwork states 'unable to deliver x amount of D2D due no access' then it
will be seen higher up and questions will be asked - well that's my theory anyway.

D2D paperwork

never been asked to sign anything since we stopped getting paid for delivering them. Most of the no access addresses have no occupants so apart from removing them from the call log nothing can be done. All excess goes outside the managers office, whether it gets returned correctly is a question only they know

Sounds like so many bogus management instructions, like streaming the mail - just ask for it in writing. You won't get it, which means you don't have to do it.
