why there isn't a simple offline mode,,,,so we can just carry on scanning,,,,saving the details to the pda,,,,and they can be uploaded after when theres a connection.....

no connecting locks us out completely,,,,,thats stupid

Why doesn't someone explain what's going wrong? I don't think it's the PDA's, when they work they are fine. It's the system as a whole. If what is causing the problem was explained to us it might be easier to deal with. Someone out there knows why it's going t*ts up, why don't they TALK TO US.

Probably RM going for a bargain basement network provider, which can't cope with the traffic from the PDAs?

Because that would be admitting culpability and jeopardising their authority. Management motives are never to be questioned even less scrutinised especially when there's the sniff of a bonus. Now move along, nothing to see here; mail volumes are down, more lapsing required...

And would you believe it was mentioned in briefing today that our scans have fallen below 90%...

2 days from last week the system as a whole was crazy. Lost the will to care any more frankly. And please RM don't instruct the 'coaches' to mention 'conduct code' anytime soon re scanning

I expect most offices will be falling below 90%. The morning chats are funny sometimes. Especially when PDA's crash.
