xmas Hours in delivery Office

Hi All not been here for a while

OK our manager has informed us , we are not getting block xmas hours Paid,

for x a mount of years we have always been paid a block average two weeks at S/A rate

manager saying this is a union management agreement for the whole of our area ,

wondered what other offices are getting , we have a meeting tuesday as we are not happy

In the 14 Christmas's Ive worked at my office (1st year as a casual) we have never had an arrangement with SA, ever.

Nothing in our office , just normal ot if going over.

Only difference is no arguments.

done away with our s,a, couple of years ago
basically payg ot which means work as you please f**k their extendeds on busy days
normal hours but they bring in pt on full time hrs for 2.5 weeks working their day off included in their hours

did away with any extra payments in our place over 10 years ago.....

work over....claim overtime if needed or work to our time

Lucky if you got extra till now

They offer to pay us at SA rate if we commit to completing everyday during Xmas pressure, nobody takes it, just cut off or go over if you've nothing better to do that day.

They stopped our "SA to complete" bribe a couple of years ago.....no deals now apart from early sorting,which is done on hours accrued.

we get a choice in mc to do pressure or sa depending on contract hrs whether it suits altho breaks are not paid on sch at Christmas.
