Additional workload

Returned back to the office to day to be told that as of next Monday we're be gaining two roads to our duty, a duty is being removed from the office.

Apparently the Area Rep agreed to this, we also apparently voted on this to be implemented.

Last time the Union Rep visited our office or even had a meeting with us, we voted against the removal of a duty.

Even if such a thing was agreed and voted on surely there is a notice period before they can bring the changes in ?

Sorry it doesn't make much sense.

They are adding 2 new roads to your delivery, are they very small roads, or are you getting back very early.

Apparently everyone in the office is gaining additional work, due to the removal of a duty.

Normal lapsing will be adjusted according, if you believe that !

if you can finish it in your duty time, then fine. Dont start running around to get it done though and take your break

I don't mind undertaking the extra work if we have time on the day, its just the underhandedness of the situation.

Should there not be a notice period before any new changes can be implemented ?

I know managers don't have manners but surely we should have been told about this at our WTL sessions ?? not that we had one today !

Operational needs, they are not altering your hours or days, just giving you extra work, they can do that anytime they like, if you have time then it's no problem, if you don't, do do it.

wouldn't worry,just cut off the 2 roads added to your duty plus a bit more for throwing off the extra work

Why didn't you have WTLL today? I thought they were mandatory.

They are mandatory in the same way that lightweight trollies are mandatory for park and loop duties. In other words....

Or, a genuinely more thrilling alternative is to sit and look at the wall for 30 minutes. Or go outside and watch the grass grow.

Not four or five in the last 18 months that have probably lasted less then 30 minutes in total then? Well everyday is a school day

I've been with the firm a year now and didn't know WTLL was a thing, never heard of it, never had one.
