What the hell is up with these new PDA's

Monday couldn't get my collection boxes to show up on my PDA and the Lino had about 6 others with various other problems as well. ended up going out 20 mins later than I should have.
Wednesday the network was down
Thursday it couldn't manifest
and Saturday it had a total meltdown and an hour into my round logged me off and wouldn't log me in at all and just kept buffering, I turned it off and on 3 times , reset it a few times and still nothing.
Ended up writing numbers on a piece of scrap paper and told the recipients to sign that and sod the 2D barcodes.
Slapped the piece of paper with about 30 signed fors on it into the DOM's hand and wasn't happy and wanted me to put them onto another PDA manually but just pointed to the clock and said I am not going over and left.
Its happening a lot in our office and wondered if its a local problem or is it a national one?

Wednesday and Saturday had problems too, had to get customers to sign on paper, manager gone home when got back on Saturday, so will have to report it Monday. customers not happy waiting at door while we are fiddling around with PDA.

Happened all week , not logging on , buffering , logging out , reset , hard rest , sworn at , resorted to pen and paper and f*** the 2 D codes. As RM said tools for the job , their problem if they don't work.

My gut feeling is that it's more a case of the EE network struggling with the volume of data

Really surprised when I was told about the new PDAs on joining a few months back that they haven't invested in ones that will print out the 379 data rather than wasting ages having to write out endless paperwork every day.
Like most big companies you suspect that the selection was based on which were the cheapest?

System down again today for all our PDA's, not downloading any routes, so everything had to be haddock'd.

Really EE has the fastest speed all the data you want and Kevin Bacon says so maybe we are not paying EE for all the data we transmit and download. So don't trash a reputable company before a corrupt and tight arsed one which we all work for!

They send straight away in MCs the only time they don't send is when the server is down, only difference is it goes through wi-fi

Don't have the wi-fi ability on the walk i do nor in the office we have but the IT in royal mail is at best s**t so there's your problem.
