New pda - turn off navigation!

Does anyone have a link to the user manual for the new PDAs? Alternatively does any one know how you turn off the sat nav?

For some reason mine started navigation and all along my walk i had my pda yelling directions at me! Extremely annoying...

I had that happen and couldn't figure it out, ended up having to log out and then log back in!

How many people using these now?. I`ve still got the house brick from the stone age. can`t see a bloody thing when the sun shines on it.

So did I, frightened me half to death. As well as an elderly customer. Damn thing. Don't know how to turn the navigation off though!

we were all set to "go live" as they call it with the new pda`s on Thursday......some reason "tech problems" were back to the old 1`s

Happens to me as well. If you click on the option second from right at the bottom of the screen, it brings up a list, one of which is "navigation" - then choose "options" and "edit route" (or other way around, can't remember) and choose "clear route". Seems a bit long winded but it's the only way I've found so far to get her to stop!

We're about to "go live" with the new PDAs, and currently have a small number that we got a brief play with during a WTL session. I found the navigation function (which looks like it'll be far more useful than that provided by the old PDAs), can't remember how I turned it off but it was pretty simply as I recall.

They're way better then the old PDAs, in any case get used to them, the old PDAs won't be coming back no matter what, Intermec stopped making the old ones a few years ago so spares for them won't be very easy to get hold of and once all spares of the batteries for the old ones have run out that'll be it for them

We got to play with one the other day, going live in August I believe. Looking forward to it, it will be handy having one that might actually fit in my pocket without pulling my trousers down

Hopefully the sat nav isn't more annoying than the constant low battery bleeps...

Are they hell they look better and are lighter but did you have so much problem with signal and getting the damn thing off navigation

Probably whatever phone network that they're set up to use has really crappy signal strength your way

Everything Everywhere appears to be the network they're on - http://ee.co.uk/why-ee/network/mobile-coverage Having just checked it for my area, we're sorted with a decent 4G signal basically everywhere and a 3G signal covering almost all the rest. However the tiny office that's the next nearest to us heading west appears to be in a no-signal area for both 3G and 4G! So I guess their PDAs will be storing up scans and then (one hopes) sending them out via WiFi and a landline when they get close enough to their office?

There are on O2
the phone works very well so if you have to call the office you can use there 'phone
good battery life
great screen which can be seen in full sun light .... if we ever get any !!
easy to use just press the button on the sides to scan box/tracked/2D barcodes

I have taken the strap off so its fits in my pocket ..... just stab the 'power' button to turn the screen off and stab it again to turn screen on and reactivate it

its a great bit of kit

I've tried them and also asked the question of how to turn the sat nav off. They were supposed to be going live apparent today (Tuesday) but technical issues (they're not uploading to the cloud) means captured information is not being sent off some of the units. And here I was foolishly thinking they'd been thoroughly tested...
