Managers who don't manage....

Just wondering if this is a common thing up & down the country, as a locker worker, do you find management to be totally uninterested with anything regarding customers if they are wanted by the customer, either to busy or can't be bothered so try passing it around themselves or even make things up like i'm not here or in meeting.

Also important phone calls for them coming threw to the locker and they seem to be uninterested also, just wondering if everyone experiences this and feel your just left to get on with it?

From my experience there are very few managers/line-managers in Royal Mail. There are plenty of bullies who aren't remotely interested in managing people, their only interest is getting the mail out of the door regardless of how much pressure they put on people to get it done.

Great post,thats my impression as well,if our managers had been in charge of DDay,the lads would still be on the ships in the channel.

our phone can ring 30 times before they answer it! anything you need to order from bands to neighbour cards takes at least 6 weeks, they bully you to get their mail out then they go out to the pub! all gone home by 12noon.
DON'T NEED LINOS , WASTE OF CASH, JUST A DOM AND ASSISTANT DOM.
