Hardly any mail this week ... one flat sorting machine shut down in local mail centre... will it carry on like this ?? delivery staff are making lots of time, finishing early in our region ...

We r the same up here in Scotland, Amazon deliver their own parcels, in last few weeks we have seen a drop of around 60-70% of Amazon also tracked, we used to get upwards of 150-200 per day we now get average of 50-70 per day just now

we have had amazon take parcels which is a big help, although we all still go over. mail is as busy as ever

Is it half term? It's always a bit easier when schools are off, most of us have managed to finish on time this week.

We were told last month it will be quiet until the end of Feb. Not sure if it going to get busier soon or if that was the length of their prediction.

It does usually pick up in March because of the end of the tax year.

With the referendum date announced I wouldn't be surprised if we soon see electoral register letters coming through for every residential address at some point fairly soon

Been a busy couple of weeks for my office aside from a couple of quiet days. I've been told that while mail volumes are falling as a whole, they're not really changing in certain parts of the country. And of course parcels are always gonna be busy, especially the annoying little packets that JUST don't fit through people's letterboxes!
