Hi, I started with Royal Mail in October on a 3 month fixed term contract, today I received a new contract (my manager said he'd put my contract extension through). However this contract doesn't state fixed term it says long term contract, is this a permenant contract or an open ended contract? I'm confused.

If there is no end date to the contract then, yes, it is a permanent one.
Royal Mail

Im also in a similar situaion and was wondering if Any1 knows if I will get the highest rate of pay 6 months after i starTed or because it's now another contract will I have to wait longer...

The higher*** rate of pay - as it's meant to go up after 6 months

Pay will go up six months after your original start date, and again six months after that.

It will probably say the current (lower) rate on a contract, but the rise should happen automatically.
