Ban Leave all of December

Think it time now Royal Mail banned leave from 1st December to 31st Dec next year, only back two days leave back on and 5 gone sick already, stretched to the limits we are and lapsing back big time, same old faces thinking we got our £200 bonus I'm off for a good new year..

The difference is if they were to throw a sicky between 27th Dec and 31st they are still within their £200 Christmas bonus. You would find the sickness record would go down rapid I would guess many of the sickness between them dates are self inflicted...

The theory looks good, however its invalidated because unless your pay is reduced, if you go sick in the 4 weeks before Christmas you still get your full entitlement to the bonus.

Anyone off sick more than 1 day between Jan to Nov should be dismissed with no pay. Anyone off a single day during Dec should be dismissed immediately without any pay in leu plus their 1st born been awarded to RM to work as unpaid slave till they die.

i take it your not senior enough to take leave in December? i like taking this week off every year, why should they ban that?

The bonus has nothing to do with your sick record during the period prior to Xmas!

Naughty - not allowed to allocate holiday on seniority nowadays, gotta be done fairly across the whole office now.

if people are unfit to work it does not matter what time of the year they go sick.
Alot of people will be unwell now as they have worked well beyond what is physically normal during november & december.
Now the lapsing will start so expect more & more sick as royal mail push normal people like they are fully trained marines.

Imagine asda or another large business paying people more than it takes to do the job! Welcome to the real world.
If lapsing takes you over your time, either cut off or book the overtime. Get used to it because it's here to stay.

If lapsing takes you over your time, either cut off or book the overtime. Get used to it because it's here to stay.

Imagine asda or another large business expecting staff to have to beg to finish on their time, welcome to royal mail and the overrunning delivery procedure. It's the only business I've heard of that doesn't feel the need to ask you to work overtime, it just asks you to defend your reasons why you can't and then jump through hoops to try to make it happen.
