Besides diesel and carwash, does the fuel card entitle you to use type pressure pump and Hoover? Who is responsible for arranging servicing and MOT. Don't have any documents in van to say when either are due.

Who has time to clean the vans? I have spiders resident in mine, don't think the driver does anything apart from check the oil.

At my DO all vehicle keys should be store in the RLE (my office) and signed both out and in on a daily basis. No vehicles at my DO are supposed to be taken home.

I am lucky if i ever see most keys.
I stopped telling management that the keys were not being brought back on a daily basis but they never did anything. The sheets they are supposed to sign are rarely filled in (despite our last audit raising the very same issue).

Servicing and MOTs are sorted by a lino when he can remember to do it.
I just give up and leave them to it.

Yes really. You may be responsible for issuing the keys and having the sheet signed in and out but you're not responsible for the legality of the vehicles. One of the Line managers is and should be nominated, he will be informed when the vehicle is due for service but the actual fleet manager will be outside of the DO and ensure the tax is up to date.

Just contradicts everything written above then doesn't it?
TBT has stated that whoever controls the keys is responsible for booking the vehicles in for service etc.
I stated 'Really' as i am the supposed key controller- but a lino sorts out the servicing, trips to workshop etc.
Then you state that i am not responsible for servicing?

One way or another i don't really care who is responsible - but in my DO it isn't me at the moment.

No it doesn't.

In my office its the transport RLE Locker staff who do everything to do with the fleet, but they have a designated manager in charge. Technically both the manager and staff are responsible. The staff for the day to day operation and the manager with overall responsibility for complying with the legal matters.

Your office has arranged the operation slightly differently than mine, but the answer is the same, someone who is responsible for the vehicles or keys arranges all the legal and servicing stuff - a Manager in your case.
