Whatever you think you'll go over by, that's what you leave in. You're at least giving them the chance to get it delivered. Try and avoid bringing back, if you can.

That's because they think that you are more likely to work past your time if it is mail frrom your duty that you will be bringing back.

If you have to cut off you should not be lapsing/absorbing period,this affects the QOS and 'should' be a big no no.
