Can we claim this back or is this already built into our pay already?

Depends on your Tax Code but the vast majority of posties have it included in it, especially new ones I believe.

Wasn't included in mine, had to apply, can get a rebate backdated 6 years

PAYE coding notice shows Flat rate job expenses £120 which is added to personal tax allowance.

It is an allowance for the laundry of our uniforms, tele HMRC on 0300 200 3300, or write to PAYE & SA, HMRC, BX9 1AS.
It was historically an agreed amount between the Unions and the Revenue.
