Tracked Items First Time Delivery

Since 'summer lapsing' local management seem to have gone overboard re getting in a fluster re FTD being below 90% (or 95% depending on what mood they are in). Now it seems we are getting work-place coaches approaching us the following day asking the usual garbage. Sure is peeing off many of us at our LDO with ever-increasing Stasi-like questioning. Is it just our LDO or is it worse at other LDOs recently?

Its all a load of corporate garbage, some busy body has come up with the idea of first time delivery thinking that would help us against our competitors (it wont), So now you boss has someone above them who probably has someone above them telling them to hit these targers.

Its the corporate way and it will only get worse, I left my old company as they started out as a great one to work with, then came the corporate restructure and it all fell to pieces, cost cutting, job losses, slogans etc

We are getting so much lapsing that we are struggling to finish on time and not a chance most are going to neighbours now, they can't have it both ways

We have a relatively new contract, tickets, not sure who they are from, Tracked requiring a signature, states on the item 'DO NOT DELIVER TO NEIGHBOURS' get a few of them each day it will blow their targets right out of the window. Deliver to neighbour is at your discretion. I do deliver to neighbour, I do a couple of roads where I wouldn't even consider it, some of the residents look a bit dodgy.

Ask them what's more important first time delivery or doing your lapsing as you won't have time to knock on lots of neigbours doors as well as lapse.

brought 4 back today,,,,,the last tracked my mate the driver was following me along my loop knocking at door after door so we could make it just 3,,,after 5 houses he gave up and we had 4 ooops.....but they say we don't try 1st time delivery

the managers all get a massive bonus on the tracked if none brought back. thats why they are so bothered.its not customer care its lining their pockets

I think they are probably world rugby tickets, you could always get them signed by someone else and just deliver them to correct place.

Don't forget D2N is down to opg self risk assessing situation, i.e it didn't look as though anyone was in, no car on drive, working estate etc.

if you are finishing well within your duty time, then i could see their being an argument that you should go to more lengths to get a tracked item delivered to a neighbour, however, if you are finishing on time (or late) then there can be no argument to have these items delivered unless they are happy with you cutting off or extending IMO.

Funny that they only care about the tracked because it's relevant to their bonus, sod the other parcels!

I asked the DOM about the 'DO NOT DELIVER TO NEIGHBOUR' tracked items and he said that they aren't included in the First Time Delivery figures.

Haven't got time to f**k about trying to find out who's in and who's not, i wont do it, that time is not built into duty builder, i used to waste upto 5 mins knocing on doors, for no answers.
