attendance procedure help.
hi iam just enquiring for a friend , he was on sick for 5 weeks for an operation , he returned to work beginning of may , no return to work interview , no stage interview , he has now gone on sick again due to stress from managers , where does he stand on the stages ? thanks for any info.,

The short answer is that your mate will be liable for a 'review 1' (formerly 'stage 1), on return to work. The reason for this is that no 'review' was issued subsequent to the 5wk absence, therefore it comes under the clause "all absences up to the day of the meeting will be included". If your manager has failed in his/her duty to conduct a review interview, s/he has no ability to escalate to a 'review 2'. Hope this helps:
