We had PDA chargers that plugged into the cigarette lighter socket, which we used to get from the room of doom when we picked up our PDA. One week we had more white vans in our yard than RM vans. Most of the red ones were either in the garage being serviced or in the local panel beaters being repaired.

I find the Public are a lot more Forgiving when I park in stupid places in the RM van than when I do it in a hire van! Plus the Parking Wardens don't get so excited when they see a Red RM Van parked on Double Yellows!

Biggest fleet of company vehicles in the UK, Circa 20,000 I think. Why do we need to hire vans. Because we have, if our DO Is anything to go by, an unmanaged strategy of getting them fixed, ie a 40 mile round trip to get a bulb replaced, MOT or oil change, when we have numerous garages in the town. Where is the sense in that.

Surprise Surprise Nigel.....It's all down to penny-pinching, sorry "Effective Budget Management" by the Powers that be. They've recently increased the area that a particular workshop has to cover. More vans requiring work, which has to be done by less guys (sound familiar)?

They hire in White vans to replace the RM Vans that are awaiting work/servicing/MOTs. Most RM vans are falling to bits with minor problems because it's obviously a priority to replace dodgy engines & gearboxes over broken wing mirrors and sticking doors!

Can you see any kind/sort /shape of bicycle or tricycle in the near future? this van do da is costing RM arm and leg?

We have two new 15 plate Peugeot s now nice but too big for our small yard and our rural deliveries! !!!
