Can't refuse a reasonable request. Remember though that you book on at your own DO and they have to get you to where you are going and get you back to your DO for your finish time which means you will unlikely be able to deliver a full duty stand your ground and do not except that you book on at the DO where you are being sent too.

And if they want you to use your own transport to get to another orifice, you might get 'lost' trying to find it

This comes up occasionally and one thing to bear in mind is that of car insurance, most people have cover for commuting to and from your usual place of work only and not for business use which is I fact what you are doing if travelling to another place of work. I would not use my own car but if you feel harassed it is something else you can tell hem. As previously stated if they must send you insist on starting and finishing at your own office at your contracted times and for them to provide transport; I did this when I was lent out once and it pissed off the loan office because I was not able to do a full job so they no longer want me!

I personally do not have cover to drive even to work, so I couldn't use my own car regardless. If it happened to me I would insist on starting and finishing on time at my usual office.

I kinda thought that, yes my car won't be used as my wife takes it to work, today I went to another office told them I need to be back by 3 as I need to collect my 13 month old, well I went back with two full bags and boy they was not impressed, well I booked an hour at my office and they were kind enough to lend me a van,

The loan Office will want you to complete a Full Delivery. If you are PT you can make it very difficult for them (makes a change). Personally I hate going to other DOs, mainly because they treat you like crap! You'd think they'd be keen to assist you, as you're helping them out, but you mostly get the worst Duties that no-one else wants, and they're normally not prepped at all!

A colleague went to a nearby DO (he was only on a 5 hour a day contract) by the time he'd traveled over there, thrown off the Duty (which hadn't gone out the day before so twice as much mail), done the Deads & Redirections etc, then factored in his Meal Relief and Traveling time back....He didn't have enough time to do any Delivering!

Or you could earn overtime ,travel time mileage,then like me I am on 5 and half day so end up going past that so could end up with say 4hrs for doing one walk

I didn't even need to do that... Having one day getting sent somewhere I demanded a van, signed out of my office at my time, refused OT etc. Our dim says I'm not going to that office ever again. Easy.
