Moya thanks colleagues this Christmas

Post by POSTMAN »

In this month’s Courier Moya Greene talks about the changing face of Christmas in her ‘My View’ column.

Moya says: ‘Thank you for the amazing job you’re doing to deliver Christmas.

‘Royal Mail colleagues across the country are working hard to ensure we have another brilliant festive period. It’s too early yet to declare this Christmas a success. Nevertheless, I’ve been humbled by everyone’s efforts so far.

Concentrated activity

‘Delivery activity is being concentrated in December like never before. Gone are the days when customers bought gifts online in October. People now shop just days before Christmas, confident that their parcels will arrive in good time.

‘We’re also expecting to see a spike in the despatch of online deliveries every Monday, right across the industry. More customers are ordering on a Sunday for next-day delivery, helped by the fact we’ve opened up our network at weekends.

‘This just proves that we must adapt quickly to meet our customers’ changing needs. If we don’t, our competitors will.

You can read Moya’s My View in full in your December issue of Courier, which will be landing at homes from Friday.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Does she even know that packets are being left for days because she/upper management won't give offices the hours to get them out, never mind delivered 'first time every time'.

Maybe she would like to get her big corporate behind out her chair and try "FIRST TIME EVERY TIME" and see if she can do it without going over.

I can see Christmas Eve been a very busy day for Managers delivering packets that staff won't get done, because i for one will not be working over.

Oh and she's looking a bit rough there.

Oh good, more crap to deliver at this quiet time of year.

Looks like she has just got out after a night in the cell.

Maybe its the aftermath of the royal mail pen pusher Christmas party

Thanks Moya, lovely to know we are appreciated. Any chance of sorting these bloody PDA's out? We can't be waiting 5 years for you to invest in new ones, we need them now!
