So I went another office to pick up something. When I was reversing in there yard. I saw about 5 royal mail workers Loading there vans up with packets. Has I was reversing. I wound down the window and said are you doing packets right now. He said yes.
Our office don't get out till 9am latest.
Any other offices doin early packets at 7:30am ??

Yes we have extra drivers with hire vans going out before 7.30am.

yeah here too,,,,a few vans,,,,the spare drivers with hire vans or the oldest vans still running,,,,,delivering from 7am

I was out doing packets at 7am for 2 weeks before this week (christmas deal started this week). I'm 30 hours so was not due to start till 8:15 on monday/tuesday and 8:45 Thurs/Friday. I would managed to deliver around 20-30 packets in the that time. Some days there was 3 of us doing it so we would maybe do 60-90 between us so took a little pressure of the normal drivers.

Yep. 4 drivers leaving the office at 7am to deliver any available parcels. Working well - DO is more less clear every day.

we are having around 10 - 15 vans going out in the morning. 4 of them arre doing pkts all day the others taken off their walks for an hour to do some pkts. so far so good but today we had lots of snow so no early morning run.

We have an oversized packet delivery run each morning. Sadly they can't manage to deliver parcels on anybody's walk except their own. So then all the oversize parcels come back and we struggle to get everything in the Noddy car.
