customer service?

Post by world class male »

what the hell is happening to our job?

after years & years of looking after the publics items and trying to keep their goods safe with anyone found doorstepping would get a severe reprimand or worse,
we are now instructed to dump tracked items anywhere, and i mean anywhere, 93% FTD isn't good enough.
then get the third degree if too many brought back,
we can't get it in writing that we can doorstep every tracked item, even told to get rid of signed for tracked but they get coy, union rep nowhere to be seen,
i asked if say i had 2 parcels, 1 tracked and 1 standard, could i leave both? no i cannot.
i must then inform the customer there is a £80 pair of nike trainers thrown in with your grass cuttings and pets crap, but you must still travel to the d/o to come collect that 99p usb plug you ordered thats traveled 5000 miles from china?

Don't forget our customer is the companies sending the items not the person receiving them, just make sure you deliver the items to the product spec, ie only use the safe place instruction in the relevant box on the label as that is the one that the customer has printed on there and is also the one the have already informed rm about with the pre info received.

I e-mail mpoya about this and was told attempt to neighbour and if that fails leave a something you card and bring the item back. sometimes tracks have instructions on them, in that case you follow what they say. our dom told us all the leave every track in a 'safe place' we asked for this in writing and he refused

The old guy that did my training four years ago was of the opinion that "if it say's SAFE PLACE on the label then you can leave it in a safe place". He then proceeded to show me that every tracked item said "Safe Place" on.....I tried to point out that that was just the marker as to where the safe place instructions would be printed, but he was having none of it - every tracked said "Safe Place" :-)

I had a 'Tracked' the other day annotated "Do Not Leave Safe" - an instruction I didn't take literally. :Very Happy
