Dash cam footage of a Royal Mail van on fire, Mottram Moor, Hollingworth Cheshire. 4th Oct 2014. No one hurt and the mail was removed before it caught hold.

if you look closely you will see a damaged Lamp Post on the lhs just before the van.

not 100% that they git it of course, but it's possible as the front of the van does not look square.

have also read elsewhere that all the mail was removed from the van before it caught fire and that the postie is ok. :)

Looks like they crashed to me. The lamp post is bent infront of the houses and there is loads of debris on the pavement and road. Also the van is backed into a bush.

Probably be classed as a write-off but I bet that they'll cart it back for repairs.
They'll give it a service and knock the dents out, fix it up and put it back on the road too I bet..!
