Royal Mail is making changes to mail delivery in Keynsham

Royal Mail will change the way it delivers mail in Keynsham over the next few weeks.

The changes will affect residents in the Keynsham BS31 area, who will be part of a new delivery route.

Depending on where customers live on the new delivery route, they may receive mail earlier or later than current delivery times.

Postmen and women will use a combination of vans and trolleys to deliver letters and a growing number of parcels to customers.

They will continue to deliver in the morning and for a longer period during the day.

Many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime, but when mail volumes vary delivery times may be adjusted.

Royal Mail will also be writing to every address in the BS31 postcode area about the changes it is making.

The changes will not alter Royal Mail’s commitment to delivering mail six days a week and there will be no job losses.

Royal Mail’s delivery director Alan Gairns said: “The local delivery team is fully committed to providing a high quality service that is friendly, reliable and which delivers six days a week - just as customers have come to expect from Royal Mail.”
