xmas opening hours callers office

i happen to see this was brought up at cwu conference this year that callers office would not be open any later than 17.00 on xmas eve and new years eve last year my line manager tried to tell me that he had to argue to keep it at 17.00 because upper management would be at home enjoying xmas eve wanted to keep us open until 19.00 as usual having no transport relying on buses no chance have getting any at this time on xmas eve or new years eve.only had one manager from sales who opts to come to us every year over the xmas pressure period turn up on xmas eve afternoon to see if we were ok.2 years ago out dom drove off wishing us a merry xmas as he sped out the gate at 11.00 and they expect loyalty from us.

I wouldn't worry about it. Most offices will have at least 2 who would work 24 hours 7 days a week if required.
