does work time learning still exist. our office doesn't. we may have a huddle on the shop floor very occasionally if any questions are asked that the manager doesn't like then it's meeting over. if we have any meeting it's very short as it will interfere with the summer savings and the reluctance to pay pressure o/t

Our last WTL was about 4 years ago now . We get the same as you DIM calls everyone to the sorting frames moans a bit then scurries off quickly back for his daily "conference" call

WTL are part of your duty as it is supposed to be built into it. Besides whats the point of those TVs RM spent money on? I think Moya will not be happy if she finds out the local management have cancelled the WTLs

everyone is due 30mins per week if you can listen to your manager spouting bullshit for that amount of time personally don't go to them would rather work.

If you've got 78 staff - then 30 minutes WTLL for each one = 39 hours or one full time job.
If you don't want it just tell your DOM and he can cut another full time duty from the office.
Win Win.
Well except for the person that loses their job but surely protecting jobs isn't something a trade union should concern themselves with at the expense of finishing early?

A brief synopsis should ALWAYS be displayed on the notice board even if its just for those on leave etc.

we have a wtl every week since we went into DM a few months back has there been a few weeks we have been unable due to pressure to have these yes,but we then make sure that all those 30 minutes used are then accounted for in the iwt so that those above can see that those hours are not being used for there intended purpose.
