They have a very bad reputation. A deserved reputation too. They seem to want to fill every workplace in Britain with the sick and dying.
We have had as many as 6 people hobbling about the office on so-called light duties, when ideally they should have been at home recuperating.
At least 3 to my knowledge, have had relapses and been off for months more.
Royal Mail's sick policy is farcical.
A mate of mine who is off sick, said he got a letter from the manager requesting a meeting to discuss coming back to work sooner.
Sooner than what, I asked. Sooner than my doctor advises, he said.

Im currently on a rehab plan with them that shows on thursday im meant to be back ona 4 hr delivery even though my drs note is still valid for that day sayimg only a 3 hr shift with 1 hr delivery and the dom eeaction to that is if I can't do a 4hr delivery on thursday I have to phone in sick untill my next call from them on Friday afternoon. Id like to know why rm are willing to follow oh assist rather than dthe drs who are actually qualified medical professionals

Good question.
Personally, I'm buggered if I can make sense of this modern urge to fill workplaces up with the sick and dying.

Well after being on rehab for 2 weeks I went back to the dr yesterday they have now signed me off for a month waiting for a knee operation now and get to speak to oh assist later today not sure of the point now as on my way back feom the dr was stopped behind a land rover that then reversed right into me so its made my knee even worse now as my foot was on the brake. Im looking forward to this call now

I had a call from them few weeks ago after a week off the doc gave me another week, they called me and thought maybe the other week wasn't enough and thought I should have the following week off also.
