wallington arrears?

a fellow in our office is leaving the company on the last day before his rotate (wallington) week off.
he naturaly assumed his rotate would be paid as he has worked the rotations five weeks and banked five extra days.
office says no! wallingtons worked in arrears and you you start by having a week of and pay it back for 5 weeks.... sounds odd hes been on this pattern for 6 years but cant remember starting pattern with a week off.

to clarify they are not crediting the five banked days.

think he assumed that as the wallington days had been banked they would be payed rm could choose to pay them on as holiday owed .
he could of declared his finish as being a week later but his last day in office is still the same?

depends where he is in the wallington cycle, - if week 1 then yes he started with a week off if week 6 perhaps not - depends how it was worked out really

the question hinges on whether he was given a week off prior to starting the 6 day weeks ie banking a day . and this was years ago!
managers adament hes is not entitled to them. i cant advise him as ive never heard this before.

what number week off is he in the cycle?

If he is week 1 he will have had a week off before banking any and be working in arrears

if week 2 he will have banked one day but be 4 days in arrears

week 3 banked 2 days

you get the picture only week 6 will have worked the full amount and not have any arrears
